Feed A Cat for Christmas! MARY ELLEN F!

My friend and sort of neighbor, MARYELLEN F.!  Congrats!  You are the proud winner of a day of helping me to feed the MANY cats I feed for Christmas, and beyond.  Thank you so much Mary Ellen!

GREAT thing  happened this weekend.  A good friend offered to adopt our little Happy.  Happy is the kitten that ran up to me on New Years Eve morning at 5 am.  I have never had a more mellow sweet kitten in my entire life.  Thanks to my sister for fostering.  She adores kittens, and this one came at a good time in her life - she had her granddaughter for the weekend who LOVES kittens - Thank you Hannah for also caring for little Happy!

Happy and Hannah!
So Kim first adopted Harold from me, the adult cat I rescued from Third and Central quite a few years ago.. was it three Kim?  And then, she adopted Squirt, the kitten that ran across the street to the garage at my own home, just a little tyke!  Kim's Mom Lynne also adopted a kitty from me, Sawyer!

One of my shelters:

This is where Baby Buttons, Mr. Whiskers and Millie live!

I have been 'under the weather' this weekend with major toothache.  Its woken me up nightly, and I've been pretty much drugged up all weekend, so have not been in the most social mood.  And I don't have a lot to say today.

Have a great day!

"In my deepest, darkest moments, what really got me through was a prayer. Sometimes my prayer was 'Help me.' Sometimes a prayer was 'Thank you.' What I've discovered is that intimate connection and communication with my creator will always get me through because I know my support, my help, is just a prayer away."

  1. I'm so thankful that little Happy showed himself to you and ran to you. Funny how you said others had tried to get him but he would run away. And then you show up and runs to you. Animals know, I truly believe it.
