Thank you to Karon and Walt for your donation to the Feed a Cat for Christmas campaign. Your donation of dry and wet food that you so kindly dropped off last weekend will feed the kitties for nearly a full week! Karon and Walt are dear friends of mine who I had the good fortune of meeting by way of our love of cats. Karon is the former President of Habitat for Cats and both she and Walt have been instrumental in helping many people throughout the community through their generosity. Their gift is in honor of their beloved kitty Sammy Simoni, who recently passed away - they had Sam since 2003 when Sam allowed Walt to scoop him up while he was on patrol with the City of Rochester Police Department! Feed a Cat for Christmas (and beyond!)
It takes 30+ pounds of dry food and 30+ cans of wet food at a cost of $40/day to feed over 90 homeless cats in the most underserved parts of our city each day.
These sweet souls have been cast off, left behind, abandoned. Often, they are hurting. Always, they are hungry.
One woman has said THIS WILL NOT STAND.
This December, for $40, you can partner with her and Feed a Cat for Christmas. Sponsor food for these kitties for just one day--as a gift, just because, or in honor or memory of a special person or pet. In return, you'll receive a certificate and our eternal gratitude!
