Some people would call me odd.  OK, lets not go there, but for the few that have ridden with me in the mornings, they learn that I do things a certain way.  I know exactly how much food and water I need.  I am extremely in tune with what I need at each of the stops I go to, all 14, each and every morning, in the wedge between Bay, East Main, Culver and Union Streets.  I know if I need an extra plate here, or a bowl there.  I know if I need to change a dirty or wet towel, and I know how many kitties I can expect to find at each location.  My friend Sheryl, who has been riding with me for a whole year now on Sundays, gets out at each location with me and tries to help with the water.  Sometimes, I tell her, NO!  not too much water!  Because I know that I will run out before the last stop - sometimes I use a little more or a little less of the food or water, depending on how many other cats I see on the side of the road in between my spots.  I know I am insane.

The picture above is all six kittens in my home right now.  The other three were returned yesterday morning, and here they are at chow time last evening.

GREAT NEWS.  Two of the eight kittens are being adopted today.  These are the two that my friend Donna has - Mystic and Mojito.  Another two under my roof are being introduced to a couple this evening.  That will leave four more.  I still have a few snifflers, and one has watery eyes this morning, and need to figure out how to get my hands on some medicine before I need to bring them to the vets.   I wish I have more help, there is a lot of running around today with these four kittens trying to get them adopted, and I can't take any more time off from work due to all the doctor appointments I've had lately.  Unfortunately, the clinic around the corner is first come first served for their wellness visit.  I don't have the time to sit there, but something will have to be done.  I know.  And I know I am a procrastinator.  And I know I am a bad rescuer, and I know I never remember medicines, things people tell me, etc.  I know. I know. I know.  I don't handle stress well.  If I have more than one thing on my plate, I become distracted.  It doesn't mean I can't do it, it just means I don't do it as well as I could.

Here are a few more pictures of some of the kittens that need homes:  I need to get some better pictures of all that are left.  We need to see their tiny little faces!  SO CUTE!!

This is in the news this morning:  This is the corner where one of my locations is:

A Webster man was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital after being shot on Grand Avenue in Rochester Tuesday night.
At about 9 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the area of Grand and Baldwin Street for the report of shots fired, and learned that a 22-year-old Webster resident, whose name was not released, was walking north on Baldwin and was shot by an unknown male from the area of Grand Avenue after a verbal dispute, Rochester Police Lt. LaRon Singletary said.
The injured man sustained gunshot wounds to an arm and was taken to Strong with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate.
