Hey
everyone! I was stepping out of my car on
Saturday and all of the sudden – BLAM!
My leg gave way to excruciating pain.
Fast forward to today, after being seen by the Chief of Ortho at RGH, I
most likely have a torn meniscus and with ice and elevation, it should get
better on its own. If it doesn’t, then I
will try a shot of cortisone, if that doesn’t help, surgery. The cats you ask? Great big thanks to Sheryl and Kings for
doing the kitty route for me. God only
knows what I would do if I had no one. I
don’t know how long they can do this for so I am praying that each day my leg
feels better.
Today
was TNR Tuesday, but obviously, I could not do it myself. I had the expert drop trapper Laura attempt
to get the momma cat and her kittens on Bay Street at the auto repair shop
(where I picked up my Catmobile last Thursday to the tune of $823 – and so far
so good!) but she only saw the momma cat, and no kittens. So nothing trapped by me today. What a waste.
There are so many cats out there that need spay/neuter. The kittens, no where to be seen.
This
injury – not being able to walk, is my worst nightmare. I pray that it heals quickly and I am back on
both feet again.

Janine SO sorry you are hurting. Thank goodness you and the cats have people to help. Please take it easy and dont rush your recuperation if you possibly can. I know first hand from breaking my leg last year how quick it can be for things to change on a dime and then we realize how much and many depend on us. Feel better soon I hope.

Sounds like that jerk at the Auto Repair shop did you No favors. Guess he didn't care that you went to school with his wife. You should charge him $60.00 per cat that you remove to at least cover the Spay/Nueter fee.
