Other than that, it was a good run, the Feed a Cat for Christmas campaign. Thank you to Everyone that contributed. I hope you all check out the new campaign for Valentines day. I have had two people contribute so far. For $5, you can purchase a homemade valentine to either send to someone you choose, or it could be given to a lonely resident in a nursing home. The cards are being made by students at Kristin's school. The cards purchased so far will all be going to St. Ann's nursing home to be given to 30 residents. There are many more though that won't receive one. Lets keep this going.
Please remember our little Hermie, our little Buttons, our big boy Cammy, and our little Cuddles, all needing adoption right now. They are all the sweetest and cutest kitties. And lets remember the ones still on the street that need our help. Please consider foster and adoption! And PLEASE SPAY and NEUTER your animals! :)

Have a nice day!
The Peace of Wild Things
When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and the cats I feed may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.
I just put in my order for Valentine's cards! I hope others will do the same! It's only $5!!! I am sure we can all spare $5 without batting an eye. But to a hungry kitty that's a ton of food. I know it takes a few minutes to enter the credit card info and stuff but please, everyone, take a minute and share the love!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll make my donation after this comment. Only $5 to make a human smile & a cat to have a full belly for a day! Save $$ on a Hallmark card & buy your S/O a HOMEMADE card, filled with love by young kids, and given to someone that would otherwise get nothing for V-Day.Has anyone spoken to the property managers at this complex? Or how about the property owners?
ReplyDeleteI think Janine has spoken with the owners - but I will ask her again. I'd be willing to make an appointment to formally sit down with the owners and explain how letting Janine do "her thing" would actually benefit the building and the residents.
