Kittens still in hut being cared for by their mama. I know who mama is because she runs out every morning when Kings gets close to the hut. She is black and white. Same as the mother cat of the last batch of kittens I rescued from there last year. We got mama spayed, and kittens adopted. I believe this is one of her kittens from a previous litter that she had prior to us TNR'g her. A kitten all grow'd up, having kittens. So sad.
I've just received a call from a friend who's brother found days old kittens outside, and we are scrambling to figure out an answer - he is getting KMR, and hopefully feeding them at this second, and then figure out what to do with them. Man, it never ends. Truly.
WHAT YOU CAN DO TO COMBAT PET OVERPOPULATION:
- Always spay and neuter your pets.
- Always adopt your pets from a legitimate shelter or nonprofit rescue group.
- Consider all the responsibilities and consequences of pet ownership before deciding to get a pet and always make a lifetime commitment to your pet.
- Educate your children, friends, family members and co-workers about pet overpopulation, adoption and the importance of spaying and neutering.
You can help stop generations of suffering. Have your female pet spayed and your male pet neutered. Don’t allow them to breed and add to the pet overpopulation problem.
Have a great day!
